KIRKWOOD SENIOR SOFTBALL

The current Participant Manual, Official Rules of Softball, published by the Amateur Softball Association (the ASA Rule book) will be the official rulebook for Kirkwood softball.  The senior slowpitch rules will apply.  Kirkwood senior softball is also subject to the rules set by the Kirkwood Parks & Recreation Department for all Kirkwood Park system field users.  In addition, the "house rules" that have evolved over the years will apply.

The pitcher will be responsible for making all "out" or "safe" calls on the batter or baserunner.

The catcher will be responsible for making the call of "fair" or "foul" on all batted balls.

The pitcher and the catcher may, at any time, ask any player from either team for assistance in making a call.  The ultimate responsibility for the call lies with the pitcher or the catcher.
